JJY TELKCJItAril —PRESS ASSN., COPYRIGHT YOUTHFUL PRISONERS. AUCKLAND, Sept. 2. A number uf prisoners were sentenced at the Supreme Court to-day, being mostly youthful oi.enders. Sydney Pixon, aged 10, for a series of arson offences round his home was .sentenced to three years at the Borstal institute. A similar .sentence as imposed on (• Maori youth, Rtltaua- Tawlia, for incest .Roy Hunt, another youth, for indecenl interference with a girl was sentenced to three years' reformative detention. .Pi-hard Howie, a lad. received 12 months’ reformatory for theft at Tallin;: r.i uni. David linden Powell lor a series oi thefts at Dunedin. ('lll istchuri li. AVelliii'itciM and Auckland was sent to the Borstal institute for two years.
