McLEAN’S PICTURES.
COLLEEN MOORE—TO-NIGHT. ” Alfinities,” the uproariously funny farce that will appear this evening, is considered to he by many one of the best comedies written by that popular novelist. Alary Roberts Rinehart. It is a Ward Lascclle production, featuring Colleen Aloorc and John Rowers. The story is as follows;—Faiinv ami Day lllington, and Ida and Ford Jackson are members of an exclusive country club, the majority of whose members have more time on their hands than they know how to use. Day 11lington is an ardent golfer and .spendmuch of his time on the links: so much, in fact, that his neighbor, Ford Jackson, becomes a self-elected companion of Day’s pretty wife, Ford finally convinces Fanny that Day is neglecting her, and Fanny falls easy prey to Feed’s proposal of an “affinity ” party, the members of which are the neglected wives and husbands of the husbands and wives who are inter- j eslcd in something more important than their better or lesser halves, ’['he party is held, but does not prove a success and in the end Fanny discovers that while she was away with Ford Day had been having an affinity party of his own. There arc explanations and apologies and while Day takes Fanny in bis arms, she promises that she will never have any more affinities providing Day doesn’t have any, either. A two-reel comedy, gazette and travelogue will also be shown. Miss Giese will render new and appropriate selections. FRIDAY’. Rudolph Valentino in “ Camille,” one of the greatest love stories in the world. Its story is of a woman of the shady side of Paris, and her love for Arniand Duval, a young law student, a love which transports her to heights of sacrifice and plunges her finally to poverty and death. Ray O. Smallwood directed this Aletro picture. The art direction by Nataclm Rambovn, a former wife of Rudolph Valentino. Tune -Mathis wrote the screen version. The supporting cast includes Eodolph Valentino, Edward Connelly, Rex Cherryman, Arthur Hoyt, Ze.flie Tillburv, Ruth Miller, Consuelo Flowerton, Mrs Olliver, and "William Orlamond.
