Tun Got.n Find. On the West Coast there is reasonable evidence that gold may still lie found in payable quantities. Gold dredging on a large scale has proved successful near Hokitika, and similar projects are said to he contemplated elsewhere. The location of any considerable body of quartz is a matter of the first importance, and if the report from the School ol Alines should l u . favourable it- is to be hoped that steps will at once be taken to prove the extent of the reel. A\ ith gold quoted in the London market at £.; Is 11 Ml per oz. it should not take a high return per ton to make crushing a payable proposition. - “Lyttelton Times.”
