In the men’s doubles final Talterson served first two double limits losing an important game for a lead. Richards and M’illiams heitli foot faulted in the first set. Play was only average, lacking pace. The players were all over anxious. Richard's service was a prominent feature in this set. fn the second set Patterson again lost the opening service. The Americans took the set by consistent play. Patterson’s service again failing. . The plavers opened out m toe lourtn set, Patterson winning the lead with his service. The Americans by verv fine serving kept the games equal till nine all.
