To-night at the Princess Theatre, a special Paramount, a George Molford production entitled '‘Flaming Barrier’s” will lie the big ntlrnY-tion to patrons. Antonio Aloreno, Jacqueline Logan and Walter Fliers play the principal pails. Written for the screen by Byron Morgan. ‘T'lamins Barriers’’ is pacheil with thrills. It is the story of an inventor. Patrick Malone. who niortlgnges I)is factory to get money to carry on his experiments on a motor fire-truck which he is perfecting. He and his (laughter. Jerry Malone, are the only one in Burbridge who believe in the fire-truck, with one exception— Joseph Pickens, the richest and the meanest man in (he community. Piehens holds the not“s which are due against the factory. By their aid lie Impcs to get possession of the factory, the lire truck and Jerry herself. Under the pretext of helping Malone, he sends to the city for an efficiency expert to come down and superintend the factory. Sam Barton, rich and idle, is literally driven into the country by his father, who hopes that some work will make a mail of him. Pickens explains to Xlnrton what is wanted, hat unfortunately for the plan. Barton spoils everything by falling in love with Jerry and bends all bis energies inwards introducing tbo fire-truck to llie slate fire chiefs. Pickens lights him at every turn and the most thrilling commercial struggle ensues which lias been seen in motion pictures for a long time. Tn the course ol the action. the heroine (lies across a. burning forest in an aeroplane and drives the fire-t riii-Is through the forest with burning trees crashing behind her. •■Flaming Barriers” is said IW lie one of the strongest and most exciting pictures produced this season. On Wednesday next popular Betty Balfour will be. seen in her latest comedy drama entitled ‘‘Morel Etui iv. On Thursday next' another Paramount starring Toni Moore in ‘"Big Brother.”
