THE SECURITY PACT
[Australia & N.Z. Cable Association.] EXPERTS’ CONFERENCE. LONDON, August 27. The German reply l<> The I 1 reach Note on the Security Pact was sent to Paris last night. It is understood that the Note agrees that a continuance of negotiations through notes is impracticable and it therefore refrains from further discussing llie points already made. The “Morning Post’s” Berlin correspondent states that it appears that tbe French Ambassador, when handing over tbo Note on behalf of France made a statement that the Allies thought it was desirable that judicial experts from Germany and from the Allies should meet to discuss the legal and technical aspects of the Security Pact, and that the respective foreign Ministers should meet later, when it was hoped that a final agreement might be reached. - The German Government gives its assent to this course. A legal expert is departing immediately for London to attend an Experts’ Conference next week.
