A special meeting of the New Zealand League Council last evening discussed tlie report of the manager of the New Zealand team in Australia. IV. Culpan read a statement covering the toui' and expressed the opinion that the team had done remarkably well. .Mr Mair, the New Zealand League’s representative on the Australian Hoard of Control presented an engraved walking stick to .Mr .J. Carlow on behalf of the President of the Queensland League. Mr Mair also presented the Council with an enlarged photograph of the teams played on the tour. -Mr .Mair will act as coach and manager to the team to play against Queensland. The team to represent New Zealand against Auckland on Saturday has not 1 been finally selected owing to a number of players suffering from injuries. It will he chosen from Gregory, Delgrosso, Kirwan, Parkes, Wetherall, Saunders, Wilson, Hall, Weble, llrown, O’Brien, Green, Herring, Al.ouat, Hen- s ry, Avery, Thomas. Lowry and Dixon. * The Otago League wired that it was compelled to cancel the game with the Auckland touring team in Dunedin, ■ owing to no suitable ground being available. Keen disappointment was expressed at the cancellation of the match. The tour was re-arranged as lollows : —Leave Auckland. September fith. play Greymouth. September 9th; * Christchurch. September 12th. Wellington, September loth. The altered itinerary will give the players chosen for the tour a chance of inclusion in the first test match against Queensland
