It was agreed, after a division, the voting being 32 to 28. that Government business should take precedence on and after AYcdnesdny next. On the motion of the TTon G. J. Anderson. the Rent Restriction Continuance Bill was introduced and read a first time. At the evening sitting the Land for Settlement Bill was, after a lengthy debate, read a second time. The House rose at 2.15.
