WEDDING BELLS

.Met.'A,SKILL - Alt ivE.N. A popular ceremony took place this afternoon, 19th. August, at St. Andrew's Church, Hokitika, when I solid, younger daughter of Air and Mrs A. Aitkcn. of Hokitika, was marrival to Lancelot MeCaskill, of Te Aioha. The officiating minister was the Rev. George Budd. of Devunport, Auckland, and the church was beautifully decorated by friends of tlio bride. The brule who was given away by her father, wore a lovely gown of cream panne velvet, embroidered with pearls, her veil being of tulle finished with silver and the orthodox orange lib ssom.s. She carried a sheaf of arum lilies. She was attended by Alisa Isabel .MeCaskill of Timaro (sister of the bridegroom) who wort* a. ('banning I rock, the bodice of green brochc and a petal skirt of pastel shades of georgette. She carried a beautiful Victorian posy of violets. The tiny nieces of the bridegroom. (Nancy and Isabel Langford of Dunedin) were tho flower girls, in sweet frilly primrose dresses, and carried silver crooks with violets and ribbon streamers. The reception was held alter the ceremony at Preston's tea-rooms. Tile mother ol the bride received the guests wearing a mole coloured marocain frock with Oriental embroidery, ami a hat to lone. The bridegroom's mother, Airs MeCaskill of Timarti. were a handsome fro k of black marocain relieved with white, with hiack hat. Airs Langford of Dunedin, sister of the bridegroom wore a I ecniuiiig frock of almond green crepe dr rliine with a black picture lull. .Miss Grace Aitkcn, sister of tlio bride, looked charming in a frock of beige georgette with a pirlure bat of mauve georgette. The bridegroom was supported by Mr George Aitkcn of Reefton (brother of the bride). After the reception Mr and Mrs L. AleCaskill left by ear ell route for their future borne in Te Aroint, the bride’s travelling costume being a smart, coat frock of embossed mole marocain with a navy coat, grey for tie and chick navy and mole bat.
