ROSS. August loth .MAGISTRATE’S COURT. SATURDAY, AUGUST 17th. (Before A\’. Meldrum Esq., S.M.) Two local residents unlawfully on licensed pi remises (Clydesdale Hotel) were ordered to pay 7s costs. One (Clydesdale Hotel) same offence was fined £l, 7s cost*. One (Commercial Hotel) was ordered to pay 7s costs and another was lined -As and 7s costs. Margaret Ann Carter (the licensee's wife) being a jxu'sun other than the licensee on a charge of supplying liquor in the Commercial Hotel, after hours to a person not lawfully entitled to bo supplied, pleaded guilty and was convicted and lined £1 and costs 7s.
