In a concentrated riot at Salem (Oregon) State Prison to-night, two guards were shot to death and one convict was killed. Three convicts gained their liberty by a dash ovc. the walls. Another guard was shot, and may .die. The convicts made a break for the prison arsenal, and secured guns. AMERICAN TEST FLIGHT. WASHINGTON, August 13. Two naval destroyers, the William Jones and McCauley, will Tie assigned to guard the proposed aeroplane flight from San Francisco to Hawaii. The flight is now .scheduled to start on the -20th- September. Complete radio compass radio communication tests between the planes and the destroyers will lie worked out prior to the start. The destroyers will later take up their position in the Pacific for rendering any possible assistance to flyers.
