Wairarapa had the better of the play, especially in the second spell, when the home forwards surged through tho southern pack, and gained many advantages for their hacks. The latter operated consistently, and only the resolute defence of the Canterbury hacks kept the score down. As a. curtain-raiser to the Rangi-tikei-Taranaki B match to-day Centre Taranaki played South Taranaki Midweek Half Holiday players. The result was a win for Central by 14 to 3.
