Xot the least satisfactory part has been the keen energy m ticket selling and general “boosting” liy the Wolf Culis and Scouts, who are themselves unable to join in the trip to the .Jamboree. At their week-end camp last Saturday a few of the Scouts cycled to Lake .Mahinupua. where a very busy day was spent preparing for the training; camp which is being held there during the first part of the school holidays. It is hoped here to get together the complete party which is to go south in the New Year and to see that in general camp organisation and in the particular display which they are to give a satisfactory standard is put up. The Second Hokitika Troop and Pack celebrate their second “birthday" next mouth and several shemes towards doing this fittingly are in course of preparation. Apart from, the camp the only meetings of the Second Troop during the. school holidays will he Friday. August -Ist, at 10a.m. for Wolf Cubs, and Sunday, August 30, usual 4.15 p.m. “Scouts Own.”
