GENERAL PETALVX REPORT. PARIS. August 10. “The horizon is clearing.” says Marshal Petain’s report, on his mission to .Morocco. He describes all the events since the first Riff attack. The .Marshal speaks of "tin- strong skilful, hold, well-equipped, mobile, frugal Riffs” against which it has been only by their remarkable tenacity and devotion that the French tromis have held the Eox-Taza road to Algeria. The Marshal emphasises that the interior of Morocco is still loyal to France. A combined action, he says, is now lieing prepared to drive out tlm enemy, and to re-estahlis]| ;h>■ I'ren h authority.
