The Riffs last night attacked a French camp at Bab Tac.a. but they were easily repulsed. No details are available, hut the newspapers believe that the affair indicates a resumption of the Riff offensive. FRENCH AIMS. VANCOUVER. Aug. 8. Count Antonio Cippico, the Italian Facist Senator, speaking at the Institute of Politics, at Williamstown, Massachussettes, declared that a great dream of supremacy in Northern Africa dominates French policy. He asserted that France,' by a system of slow absorption, is attempting to suppress free Italian nationality in Tunisia. Algeria and Morocco. He charged France with failing to observe her conventions with Italy regarding Tunisia, and also said that she was trying to enforce her moral supremacy upon the world, as Germany had tried to enforce “kultur.”
