The question of whether New Zealand would be prepared to sever her connbet il>il with t lib- I iiiertlatioital Swiminiiig Federation was considered at a meeting of the New Zealand Amateur Swimming Association this evening. A letter was read from the British Association, in which it was stated that: France was endeavouring to secure complete control ol the Federation for the Continental nations, and that she had so far succeeded as to exclude Great Britain or any of the British boininiuns froin representation on the Bureau or governing body ol the Federation. Fpon tlie meeting arriving n»- this decision, the British representative had withdrawn, and had recommended to the British Association that it should cease to lie a member of the Federation. The British Association stated that it. was writing to the Dominion Associations to ascl-rlUiil what support it might expect from them in the event of its deciding to withdraw. It was also suggested that il a withdrawal took place, an effort should he made to osinhiiph an English-speaking Swimming Alliance, including America.
