A message from Quebec states the Lawn Tennis Association is hopeful of having the Australians play here alto; the Davis Cup matches in the United States. Montreal dispatches state the demand for tickets for the approaching Australian-Canadian match is unprecedented. necessitating the construction of a new stand, thus doubling the present capacity. A Montreal message states the Australians after observing the l nited States Davis Cup try-outs scheduled for August Bth. instead of August 15th.. will arrive here on August 10th. to practise, previous to the Canada matches for which AYaltcr Rate, honorary treasurer of l nited States Tennis Association, has been appointed referee.
