The boys of the Second Hokitika Scouts had tin interesting visit recently front the brother ol their scoutmaster. he having iust arrived from England. Having been a Sea Scoutmaster in Cardilf before sailing, and a number of scouts being on board a
passengers, a temporary troop was soon formed on the ship, and what would have otherwise been a somewhat tedious voyage (via South Africa and various Australian ports) was spent in useful activities. The Jamboree Trip should l ain ill this direction and other attempts include a plan for exchanging correspondence with scouts in other lauds. 11,c* visit of two Christchurch Patrol Leaders to the last summer camp, and visits which are expected snortlx from the District Scoutmaster of Timaru, and the Scoutmaster of Palmerston South.
The Second Trop, ami especially the Jamboree Party, are niixons to express their thanks to tin* ii.R.A. mid all others who have done mi nmol' to make a sueicss of to-night’s euchre tournament, which is to he used to help pay rail expenses to the Janborce.
