The new picture, coining on Wednesday to the Princess Theatre, is a continual thrill, except where (lihson's whim.-iral humor lightens it with, laughs, flihs.in plays the part of a college hay. whose scapegrace tricks arc concealed from hi-- parents and who. following ail adventure with a speed cop. joins a W ihl A\ est show. His education in riding hronehes and racing stage coaches furnishes sensations and mirth; a romance with the “hard-hailed” cowgirl star adds laughs and finally a delicate heart interest story to 1 lie swift moving play. A spectacular automobile chase, in which Hibson drives a racing car through a vent, through fences and into a lemonade stand in the show grounds is one of the high spots in the .spectacular picture. A notable cast appears, including .losie Sedgwick, known (oilier work in “.luhilo.” ami other pictures. and a sister of I lie director, F.dwa.rd Sedgwick; diaries T\. Flench. (I. Raymond Xye, W. T. Alif'nlloy. who contributes the motor cycle thrills and other well-known players. A complete Wild West show was erected at Universal City for the new picture, and real Indians appear in the stage coach battle, the trapeze feats and other details of the program, which is interpolated with action in the new t hriller. On Thursday. William Duncan, famous for his portrayal of rugged western heroes, never has been seen to hotter advantage than in “Playing It Wild.” which will he shown at the Princess Theatre oil Thursday. The story was written especially for AltDuncan and his co-star, Kdilli Johnson, by C. Graham Haker. editor-in-chief of Yitngraph. and provides these splendid port ravers of rugged Western lift- ail opportunity to show another angle of their work, comedy. Mr Duneon's roles usually have been ol the extremely strenuous order, and there lias been little time or room for scenes in light vein. Mr Baker, however, has introduced the comedy so cleverly that it enhances the story rather than distrait attention from the main themes. Duncan’s followers agree that it is the best picture lie has ever made.
