The renditions offered to M. (2) That AD . uses in Great Britain should he selected by M. Spahlinger or by doctors representing him. (8) —That these eases should he at a stage of the disease and in a state which Al. Spahlinger or his experts deemed most favourable to his treatment. (If—-That no atiempl should he made to discover the ••secret" of his remedy, and if by chance discovered, it was to hv confidential. —That the Commission should report the results. It is now over two years since this ! offer was sent to M. Spahlinger. and no attempt has been made to take advantage of an opportunity, which, if his remedy is what ho claims it to he. wotthi have brought him both fame and fortune, and have been the means of saving the lives of thousands that, by his secrecy, lie is permitting to the. He is not a medical man. and of course he is not hound by that glorious tradition of the profession which makes it incumbent on every doctor who makes a discovery, to give it at once without fee or reward, into the hands of his medical brethren, and to the world, for the relief of suffering. the cure of disease, and the blessing of mankind.
