[BY TELEGRAPH —PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.] SNOW AT DUNEDIN. DUNEDIN. July 24. Heavy rain and sleet showers fell at frequent intervals to-day, and the hills surrounding the city Tiro coated with snow. Snow commenced to fall heavily in the city about 6 p.m., and late at night there had been no cessation. LOST OVERBOARD. CHRISTCHURCH, July 25. During the voyage of the steamer i’bysa from Singapore- to Lyttelton, via. Newcastle, the Chinese quartermaster was lost overboard in a storm. A REFORM CANDIDATE. CHRISTCHURCH, July 25. Mr M. K. Lyons has broil chosen as Reform candidate for Lyttelton.
