The games set down for Saturday are: At- 1.30 p.in. the game between the Westport Pirates team, (who arrive this evening) and the Westland junior representatives. Tile latter is a com parativelv weak team on paper, while the strength of the visitors is also an unknown quantity. The third grade match School v. Kiwi also takes place at the same time. At 3 p.in. the senior game Kiwi v. Excelsiors takes place and the game should prove a close and exciting one. KIWI TEAMS EOR TO-MORROW. Third Grade v. School-—Muir, Stopforth, Schroder, Jones. After it- hard game Now Zealand won by 21 to 13. A dominating feature of both learns was the determined tackling, which although appreciated by the spectators, effectually circumvented, fill efforts <J enterprising play. Brisbane at centre played brilliantly for the visitors, his tackling being deadly and his trickiness in attack was of the first order. Dufty kicked six goals, hut otherwise defended weakly. The New South Wales combination proved weak. Hardman shone among the forwards.

Dufty drew first blood with a penalty goal. Then Brisbane struggled over from a- midposl scramble. Dufty converted. New Zealand threatened again when a penal tv was awarded N.S. Wales wherefrom Wearing scored and converted, making the scores X.Z. 7. X.S.AS . 5. Hardman crossed soon afterwards and Wearing converted. Dufty piloted another penalty over the bar before the interval which ended witli the scores N.S.W. 10. N.Z. D. immediately following the- resumption Dufty landed another penaltj whereto Mouatl added three points. X.Z. 11. N.S.AV. 10. The- visitors, playing with clockwork precision, added live per 'medium of Brisbane and Duft.v. whereto tlie last-named added another goal, bringing the visitor's’ ‘total to twentyone. N.S.AY. Wales in a despairing effort failed to overtake the. visitors. O’Rourke crossed hut Wearing's attempt was weak. Full lime ariived without addition to the scores.
