On charges ot being oil licensed premises during prohibited hours decisions were recorded as lollows: Due oil'emler i Post Ullicc Hotel). Fined IBs and 7s costs. One oil'emler (Dunedin Hotel) ordered to pay costs 7s. A charge of being on the Empire l Hotel. Kaniei'i. was defended, Mr.Alurdoelt appearing for defendant. After hearing the explanation of delendant. the charge was dismissed. Two offenders (.Masonic Hotel). One was lined -IBs and ,s costs and the other 20s and 7s costs. Six persons tiled Lion Hotel) three appearing and pleading not guilty, and alter hearing their explanations, the charges against two were accepted and the eases dismissed. In the other four eases, convictions were recorded, and each ordered to pay costs ,s. except cote where the costs were 1 Is. A further charge (Bed Lion Hotel) was defended (Air Murdoch). After hearing defendant, the charge was dismissed. LICENSEE CHANCED. The police charged the licensee ol the fled Lion Hotel (Air Weils) with keeping open lor sale altci hours, wit!) exposing for sale, and with selling liquor alter hours.
