For several generations the McKays and Canelds have had ail active intest in the other’s death rate. The fierce hatred is handed from father to son. At the opening of our story, only "William McKay (Buster Keaton) remains on the one side while ihe Canfields are more numerous, due no doubt a quicker trigger action. But AYilliam lias been raised in New York in ignorance, and when he decides to set forth to claim the family estate, lie is told a story which sends a cold leeling up bis spine, by bis aunt. He catches the oastbonml limited, and Lecontes interested in a girl who sits next to him. 'The carriages finally manage to reach their destination, ahead of the engine, and AYilliam is much surprised to find that Lis dog has beaten both. The hov and the girl go different ways. William innocently asks two young sixfooters where the McKay place is situated. They do their host to kill him. He again meets the girl, who invites him to supper, where he is surprised to meet these two young men. They are Canfields, hut lie learns that they will not kill him while lie is a guest. Bow to stay in the house is certainly n puzzle, which is finally solved by announcing that! lie will he 11 permanent guest. All tricks to get him out fail At last lie flees. The pursuers, returning home next morning, failing to locate William, are surprised to find hint at home embracing their sister. After lie tells them he lias married her, after rescuing her from dashing over a waterfall, the feud is declared off liv mutual consent. A .superb supporting programme will also ho shown. McLean’s supreme orchestra will render the, incidental music. The prihes for Friday will be Dress Circle. 2s; Stalls ts 6d. Children under twelve, <>d.
