According to telegrams from Fez, Riff regulars appear to he moving northward, leaving the rebel tribesmen to carry on operations. The object of the movement is not yet apparent. French aeroplanes are incessantly active between Fez ami the front line,
carrying up bombs, munitions and food and bringing hack wounded. It is stated the French gave up the posts of RebliOM-in and Wedhamrin, as they were isolated. The posts were destroyed. French aeroplanes are steadily bombarding the abandoned French positions.
THE PEACE TERMS. « Paris. July 20. M. Painleve, the Premier, announced that Marshal. Retain would remain in Morocco as long as circumstances demanded. He added that peace negotiations were proceeding, hut at the same time, all the necessary measures were being taken to consolidate the frontier and to deliver a derisive stroke, which would ensure lasting peace. Abdel Krim had been informed that two official emissaries from the Franco-Spanisli Governments were in possession of terms of peace, and he could learn them, if lie wished. The “Times” Paris correspondent says: Abdel Krim still appears confident of achieving a positive success. Several unofficial French emissaries have liecn in contact with him lately, hut he has given no sign that he desires to consider peace terms. Consequently the Kraneo-Spanish conditions, drawn up in Madrid have not liecn communicated tp him. hut he knows that they are available when lie wants them.
FRENCH POSTS BELIEVED. PARIS, July 20. A Fez communique announces the relief of Ainaiolut, after a lively engagement. The enemy left two hundred dead in the field. The Ailimatenff post, which the enemy vigorously pressed for several days lias also been relieve 1. Otherwise, the situation is unchanged.
