.Mr T. M. Wiiford to-day stated that hi-- Party's manifesto, issued on Friday night. which announced the change of the name ef the Liberal-Labour .Party had met with a marvellous response. Already the Gisborne branch bad telegraphed its congratulations, and had altered its name to that of the new party. Furthermore. Gisborne bad selected the first Nationalist candidate The Eeilding branch of the old party had commimi■•tiled its allegiance to the new party. The branches at Waimnte. Dune.lin. ( hi'istcbiireb. Dulls. Marten, and Auckland City bad a!-o telegraphed their congratulations and had offered assistance. From Christchurch had come an offer of a Nationalist < audidate tv ha never before bad stood for. or even been, an active supporter ol the Liberal-Labour Party.
