In the matter ol War Office i out nu ts and all Public Meat Contracts, tho London manager of the New Xealitd Meal Producers Hoard is continually pressing iit the authorities the importance of preference to Overseas parts of I lie Empire. Koine months ttgo the War Office, in calling for tenders for a .supply of heel for army purposes, amended the conditions ol their contract form by asking for quotations for ‘•British Dominions and or South American at the Contractors option.’’ The elicit of this alteration was to absolutely cancel any preference to the British Dominions, and the Meat Hoard’s London Manager made a strong protest against the change.
