Matson and Co., report as follows regatding their stock sale at Addington yards yesterday:—More Sheep.—Eor the time of the year the yarding was a comparatively large one, lint comprised mostly of dry sheep, including several excellent lines of hoggets, a s well as good forward Wethers. Tile market lor ell sorts was firmer and any good ewes met with a keen demand. Most of ih, yarding went smith. Reel.- A similar sized yarding of heel to last week and the quality, generally speaking, was really good anti the sale throughout was spirited •find showed a further advance on last week. There was one consignment Irom the North Island as well as some from The AYest Const and we think the vendors will be pleased with the prices realized. Prime steers made .Cls to Cl 7 I Os, extra to CIO 12s fid, a few extra special making more. Medium Cf2 to Cl I 10s, others down to L'7 5s (id. prime heifers CO ss. Cl 1 Ids, extra to CM ltlx, medium C 7 to t'S 15s. others to Cl 10s. prime cows CO 10s to CU ss, extra to CM. medium £6 10s to CH 15s, others to Cfi 10s.

Store Cattle.—wnly a small yarding, being no quotable lines ull'ered and as usual mostly nondescript lots and odds cows. Eat Rigs.—A small entry came forward of both porkers and bn rollers. The sale opened belter than last week lor porkers ami held throughout the sale. Hneoiiers sold on a par with late rates. A allies: Eight porkers 18s to 575, heavy (ids to 745, average Pd to 10(1 per lb; light baconers Cl to Cl 15s. heavy Co 5s to Co 12s (Id, extra to .Co IPs (id, average 7d to Sd ; choppers Cl to C 7 Ids. The market opened decidedly firmer and showed a sharp rise, quite -Is to ss, but as the sale progressed things eased somewhat until the last alley, when the market closed very firm, the average advance being 2s to fix per head.
