BRITISH COAL CRISIS
COURT OF ENQUIRY NOT WANTED. [Australia A N.Z. Cable Association.] LONDON, July 15. The .Miners’ Executive has recommended the delegates at the conference at Scarbonmgh to have nothing to do with the Court of Enquiry and not to negotiate with the owners until they had withdrawn their proposals. 'i'FILMS DRAWN UR. LONDON. July 11. The Miners’ Federation Executive at Scarborough late last night, after many hours of consideration, drew up a resolution, the terms whereof will not disclosed until they are submitted to the delegate- to-day. It is believed that the resolution rejects the Court of Enquiry set up by the Government on the ground that no industry has been more extensively enquired into than the coal industry has already been, and that the miners refuse to meet llto coal owners unless their notices for terminating the National Agreement and other proposals, which already have been rejected by the men, are withdrawn.
