MURDER AND SUICIDE. ADELAIDE. .July 15. A man giving the name of Tom Watson. hoarding at a shop in King St., fatally shot Mrs .Merle Skelton, a waitress at the establishment. He then shot himself and died shortly afterwards .Among the man's effects were found war medals and a union member’s ticket having the name of T. Weathered.

The Flinders Island mutton bird packers are gravely perturbed at the action of, the New Zealand Comptroller of Customs in classifying the birds as preserved meat instead of as provisions as formerly.
