The vote tor clean no :iihl repairin': t hristohiirch Road was expended in cl lO removal of overhanging scrub from the roadside and repairing bad holes and washouts in the road surface between Spencer Hoad and Waimen Creek. Urgent repairs were effected to bad holes on Awatuna Road, and decking of culverts on Looping and Callaghans Road. Ruts, rakes and j holes repaired on Hokitika-Kumara Road beyond Kapitea Creek. The vote I for repairs to Arahurn-Rrowiiiugs Pass Track was exhausted, the work being completed satisfactorily, the required distance. Portions of Oillams Gully Road were cleared of scrub and a part!v subsided approach to a culvert on Humphreys Road re-metalled. Central Rihino. ' Flood Damage Repairs, Lake Knuteri Road.—The removal of the slip at McKay’s Creek was continued and several minor slips removed-from Lake Kanieri Road. Pine Spur Creek Bridge. JL'loO Grant. The new bridge was completed under the direction of 11. Reynolds in a satisfactory manner. County Works. Repairs and grading were completed to Lake Kanieri Road and a portion
re-rolled with the ten-ton roller. Portions of Lower Kokatahi, 'White's and Koiteran.gi Roads were repaired and gravel dumped at the roadside for future repairs. The vote lor constructing Styx River to Lake Kanieri Track was exhausted and the track completed to allow access to Picnic Point. .Milltown to Browning's Pass ..Track was cleared and culverts repaired from .Milltown to A rail urn River. Arthurstown Road was cleaned and outer sides of road reduced with the road grader from Hokitika River Bridge to Borough Boundary ;• and gor.se and blackberry cleared from the Borough Boundary to Takutai in readiness lor grading. Portions of Adairs 1 Hoad were repaired with gravel, and watortablos cleaned on Lake Kanieri, HokitikaHau Man. and Blue Spur-Arahura Hoads. A defective culvert between Camp Street and the foot of Morris Hill, Kanieri, was removed and was replaced with .‘Hi inch diameter concrete pipes. Back Crock Road was cleared and culverts repaired at the upper end, and gravelled between the Mill and Main Highway. SorTiriJiiN Riding.
Repairs were effected, consisting ol cleaning, patching holes, etc., to McLeod's Road on the north hard; ol the Mikonui River. Portions of the old road from the Main South Road l<> too Waitaba River were cleared and repaired, the vote not being sufficient to complete the whole ol the necessary work. The Roadman attended to repairs on Petersen's. Wanganui Flat. Haddock’s, ami Robertson Road, ami to the cleaning and reopening the road drain on the Main South Road above Wanganui Flat Road.
