ORDERS FOR BRITAIN'. LONDON, July 10,

The “Daily Herald" (Labour) states that M. Rnkovskv has returned to England prepared to place orders with British firms to the value ol iilteen millions sterling, of which ten millions will he for agricultural and other machinery, which are due to a good harvest in Russia.

The "Daily Herald" also asserts that it was the British Government's intention last week to send a peremptory Note to .Moscow, but this plan was abandoned alter their realisation that any action would have to he taken in isolation. An earlier plan of a joint Note by the Powers, demanding the removal of the headquarters of the Third International from .Mo-cow broke down, owing to Italy refusing to participate in it. Germany was also unfavourable, while M. Briuiid (French Foreign Minister,) was not ] repared to embark on an Anti-Russian policy.
