[BY TELKORAm—rKIt I'ItESS ASSOCIATION.] - TIT M HOUSE, LABOUR'S AMENDMENT DEFEATED. AYELI.IXGTOX, July 9. Tn the House to-day the debate on the AiMross-in-Reply was continued by Messrs I.angstone. Girling. McKeen. Bitehener, Ransom and Nash. At 8 p.m. a division was taken on Mr Holland’s amendment when tho voting was: For the amendment IS.. against the amendment 38. Before the doors wore locked the Literal Party walked out of the Chamber and did not vote. Those voting for the amendment were 1" members of the official Labour Party reinforced by Mr Poland. Air Atmore voted with tiie Government. The House then proceeded to debate ihe main question until 9. T0 when on the motion of Mr Lye, the debate was adjourned and the House rose till 2.30 p.m. tomorrow.
