WEDDING BELLS

HICK EY—-COYLE. A popular and pretty wedding took place at St Mary's Church, Hokitika, on Monday, July Oth., when Miss Bridie Coyle, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs John Coyle, of Fitzhoibert Street. Hokitika, was married to Mr .1. S. Hickey of Opunak<’. The bride, who entered the church on her Father’s arm looked charming in a gmvn of autumn tinted silk marocain. tunic style, the tunic edged with grey fur, and gold vest. Her veil of the some shade as her gown was arranged mob cap stylo, with band of gold leaves. She carried a beautiful bouquet of bronze chrysanthemums and autumn leaves tied with long streamers of pink tulle and ribbon to match her frock. Aliss Rita Coyle attended her sister as bridesmaid and wore a frock of electric blue velvet. and a silver marocain hat. She also carried a bouquet of autumn flowers and leaves with long streamers of ribbon and pink tulle. Mr Pat Kane, of Greymoutli. officiated) as best man. Nuptial mass was celebrated bv the Rev Dr Kennedy. The happy couple left the church to the strains of the wedding march played bv Miss Ei'-oen Dalv. The wedding breakfast was bold at the residence of the bride’s parents. Fitzhorbert St. where the usual toasts were honoured. Tn the afternoon a dnintv afternoon tea was served to numerous guests. Tim bride was the recipient of many beautiful and eostlv presents, including many cheques, and a number of congratulatory telegrams. The bride’s present to the bride"room was a Zvlonite shaving outfit and the l-ridegroom’s present to the bride, a set of furs and to the bridesmaid, a gold armlet.

Later in the dnv the liapov couple left by special car for Grevmouth cn route to Auckland and Rotorua, the bride travelling in a smart navv gabardine roat frock trimmed with Oriental braid and bat to match.
