Official quotations are:—New Zealand, finest salted 188 s to 190 s. it 11salted 191 s to ]96s; other qualities, 178 s to 181 s; Australian, salted ISOs to 18-ls; other qualities. 158 s to 178 s; tinsalted 180 s to 190 s; other qualities. 170 sto 170 s: Irish, salted 190 sto 1925, unsalted 194 s to 1965; Siberian. 170 s to
1745; Danish. 202 sto 20Is per evt. CHEESE. The market is firm and the demand is steady. Official quotations are:— English, finest farmers', 108 s to 112,5; Canadian (coloured and white), f)Bs to fills per cwt. ; New Zealand, coloured, 102 sto 101 s. white 103 sto 10-ls; Australian. coloured 07s to 100 s. white 08s to 100 s per cwt. Shipments of Now Zealand dairy produce arrived ibis week per s.s. Rualiine. HEMP. The Manila market is quiet but steadier. “.1” grade August -October shipments sold at £4l os and £ll 1<»per ton New Zealand is quiet. Small sales arc reported of fair July-August shipments at £32 10s. at which figure there are still sellers. Tlighpoints are offered at £35 10s. but no business is reported. CASETN.
Present quotations are:--French rennet, £4O to £SB per ton. Italian. £4B, Argentine lactic £45 10s. WOOL. Tlie Bradford market is quiet. Quotations for tons are easier: 04’s average 4s ‘hi sG‘s super half-bred ‘2s lOd. APPLES. Tainui shipment. Stunners, are in good condition, and others generally ripe and some waste, especially in London Pippins. Dunn’s Favourite and Stayman’s Winesap. Brisbane shipment in splendid condition, but sales slow owing to heavy supplies of Australian apples and strawberries. The weather is cold. Prices are steady for all kinds of sound fruit. Values for Xew Zealand range front Lss to °os per case. TALLOW. The market remains quiet. Present quotations are:—Mutton —Fine 40s Cd to 475. fair to good 44s to -16 s. dark to dull 42s to 435. Beef—Sweet and or mixed 46s Cd to 475. fair to good 43s to 465. dark to dull 40s to 41s 6d, daik to dull 40s to 41s 6d. Out, etc—3Bs to 41s per cwt.
