THE OLD FLAG.
There’s an old f!;vg Hying in the v.n, to-day. Flying far aero*; the world, in the same old way, Dipping low to every wave o'er th .Seven Seas— T our lint; and my Hag is ikiating on tb • breeze. On the edge of Kmpire its colours greet the sky. Dine and white, and crimson as the blood of those who die— Die and loti re b.hiud them a name v.ith honour blessed. For ynitr Hag and my flag, of every ling the best. Whipping down the wide seas in a maze oi loam. Lonely hearts on emery boat dream oi friends at homo. Dream of friends so far away when, clear against the sky. Hoes ye,or flag and. my Hag, a friend pa-sing by. Oh the lonely outposts, o'er ihe lnr.cn sno’Ws, Wheresoe’er a foot may mi s. there the Old Flag goes. Death is grim and life as dear, but life for your Hag and niv ling, to keep it Hying there.
