&BcLEAN’S PICTURES. A GREAT PICTURE—“QUINCY ADAMS SAWYER.” Through the efforts of Arthur Sawyer. of iSnwyer-Lubin Pictures' organisation. which produced the Metro SL. Special. “Quincy Adams Sawyer,” will bo presented at the Princess Theatre on Friday night, one of the most notable lists of screen players ever assembled for a single production appears in the film version of Charles Felton Pidgin’s famous story. When the initial preparations were lseing made for transferring this story of new England life to the screen. Air Sawyer announced ho had secured the services of sixteen players whose names are familiar to every motion picture fan. Among the sixteen is Blanche Sweet, who returns to Hie screen after an absence of almost three years. She enacts the leading feminine role, that of Alice Pettingill. John Bowers has the title part; Lon Chaney has the 1346 123456 121 Lon Chaney is seen as Obadialt Strout, the Czar of Mason’s Corner. Barbara La Afarr plays T.indy Putmim, the small-town vampire.
