The New Zealand Rugby Union decided to-night to abandon the proposed match between All Blacks of 1924 and 1925 on the return of the latter from Sydney. Insufficient men are available to form a strong 1924 team. Instead the Australian visitors will meet a combined team from ANellington, Afanawatu and Horowhouua. Tfie Te Rori Rose Bowl will ho decided at AYellington on August 19th. and from the contending teams a fifteen will he chosen to meet Canterbury on August 22nd. Invercargill was allotted the Not thvSouth Island match, and the date was fixed for July 25th. Air R. G. Warren (Secretary ol the International Rugby Board) advised that .several unions expressed the view that it would Ik> impossible to send out a team to New Zealand in either 1920 or 192/. \s ATr O. J. Wray, the Dominion representative on the English Rugby Union, stated that France was able to guarantee a fully representative side for 1927, it was decided to send an invitation for that year.
