WESTLAND SUB-UNION
The Sub-Union met last evening at 8 o’clock. Present: —.Messrs McGregor (President). Cutbush, Moore, Dowell, Stafford, Breeze, Steele, Adamson, Howat and llccnan. 'The Referees Association rejxirt recommended referees as iollows tor Saturday's fixtures:— Seniors.—Stars v. .Excelsiors at Hokitika, at p.m.. Air J. Coulson. Juniors.—Arahura v. Kanieri at Hokitika, at 3 p.m.. Air W. A. Wilson. Ross v. Kumara at Ross, Afr E. Mitchell. Third Grade. —Kiwi v. School, at Ltd p.m., Mr L. Hughes. Front Kiwi Club asking for match Arnhurn v. Kiwi at Hokitika. —Received and decided according to the rules. From Kiwi Club re classification. — Received. Air Coulson moved that the following be added to the rule already on the books dealing with reclassification and transfers:—“That the. Commitiee reserve the right to reclassify and transfer nder extraordinary conditions at its discretion at any period.” Seconded by Air Adamson and carried. It was resolved that V. Lloyd’s reclassification he granted.
From Excelsior Club in connection with the recent representative match alterations and objecting to the passing ov. ;■ of W. Henderson (emergency) for an mi -elected player. Afessrs R. AleDonald and F. Freitas were present in support of the protest.—Received. Tt was resolved to refer the matter of the complaint to tlie AY.C.R.tL lor an explanation. Il was resolved to draw the attention of the Kokntahi Club to the necessity of attention to goal posts and to the delav in their team taking the field.
From W.O.R.U. asking for a delegation for next meeting night (Tuesday). —Received and resolved that the Union he asked to call a special meeting for for Thursday next at 8 p.m., the Chairnvui, Messrs S. Moore, D. R. Dowell, 11. A!. Coulson and J. Stafford to represent the Sub-union. From Rivals Thirds. Most port asking for a match to bo arranged for August ."itli. —Received and agreed to. It was resolved that the proposed Wednesday match against Greymouth he postponed for a. week.
