Tho Buildings Committee reported that a letter was received from the Moaiiii School Committee agreeing to the Board's proposal to establish a central .sehod mid-way between Monnu and Burn to servo the scholars of both districts. It was resolved that the chairman of the Board be asked to select a suitable site and that applications he made to the Department for a grant for the erection of the proposed new school. An application was received from the Tiotnmanu Committee for the prnyb'ion of it teacher’s residence, and it was resloved to reply that there was no prospect, of obtaining a grant for this purpose. Tho Agricultural and Manual and Technical Committee reported as follows : Letters relating to the Exhibition were read from the Dunedin Executive and from the Department. '1 he supervisor reported as to what had been done since last met ting and submitted a circular which it wu, pmposed to send out. It was agrecu that the circular a.s drawn up should bo sent out to all schools in the <nstrict. and further reports submilted at next meeting. A iurlhor letter was received from tho Dunedin Executive asking for iinanoial assistance towards the cost o! gelling up the Education Court at the Exhinitiou.
