woniJHiusK—amv.vr. A popular wedding was celebrated at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church by the Rev. B. Hutson, on Wednesday afternoon, before a large congregation of relatives and friends, the contracting parties being .Miss Dorothy Elsie lion at. second daughter of -Mr and Mrs James Howat, of Arthurstown, and Mr James M. Woolhouse, second son of Mr and Mrs .T. James Woolhouse of Koiterangi. The bride who was given away by her father wore a irock of soft white satin with overskirt ol silk radium lace, finished at the side hv a spray of flowers. Her veil of white net was beautifully embroidered and was held in place with a spray of orange blossoms. Her bouquet was of white chrysanthemums with white twill streamers. She was attended by her two sisters Misses Mary and Edna Howat. The former wore a frock of lemon crepe de chine with black lace hat with tucks of gold, and the latter a pale blue petal frock with close fitting cap of silver tissue on her beau. Roth carried bouquets of pink chrysanthemums. Mr J. 1\ oolhou.se (brother of the bridegroom,- attended as best man. Miss Thompson presided at the organ and played the wedding march. From the church the guests proceeded to Preston’s Tea Rooms where the wedding breakfast was sol and the usual toasts honoured. The bridegroom's present to the bride was a gold wristlet watch and to the bridesmaids gold armlets. that of the bride to the bridegroom. a travelling rug. The bride’s travelling costume was of dark brown cloth with black velvet hat relieved with white. Later in the afternoon the young couple left for the north where they will spend the honeymoon.
