Painlcve, issued a statement emphasising the soundness of the French miliLary position in Morocco. He announced that it was intended to send tanks and to reinforce the Air Force. He admitted that the 'Miff enemy was pugnacious and was ready for any sort of a coup, hut said the Rids possessed few guns and machine guns. .SPANISH REPORT. MADRID, June 1-1.
A communique announces the Rifis were forced to retreat to Maeiee mountains relieving Tetnan from danger of attack.
