FARMERS’ UNION CONFERENCE.
MASTERTON, June I. The Farmers’ Union Conference opened to-day, A. Ross presiding. Tn his address Mr Ross referred to the loss sustained by the Bominion hv the death of Mr Massey. He also expressed satisfaction at the appointment of the Hon. J. G. Coates as Premier. A resolution of sympathy to Arm Massey was passed and the placing on record of the great services the late Mr Massey had rondorod the Bominion.
