'lVb men loved Jacqueline. One a suave, polished product of the cities, who thought to win her by trickery and guile, tlio other a woodsman, upright and honourable, whose love was so dear as tho pines among which lie dwelt-. If you love dogs—and there are very few of us who don’t—you must not fail to see- “ Blazing Barriers” for in the cast of this magnificent production is “Taxic,” a dog of almost super human intelligence. Taxic plays a most important part in the development of tho plot and according to Dell Henderson who directed the picture, be was infinitely easy to handle. “ Taxie knew what was expected of him, and did it almost without a word from me,” said Air Henderson. " Where t would have to rehearse certain players in certain scenes time and lime again to get the effect ( was after, T merely had to talk to Taxic, giving him the idea of what I. wanted done, and, lo and behold, it was done! All of which, T know, sounds incredible to a great- many people, and to whom I can only say that they don’t know Taxie. He is without a doubt the most remarkable animal L have over come in contact with and I feel confident that all those who see his splendid work in tlie picture are going to agree with me.” A two-reel comedy, gazette and scenic will complete this big programme. Alel, can’s Supremo Or chestra, will render new selections. Satuday Oath,” a monster programme. Tuesday.—“ The Green Goddess”
