At last night’s meeting of the (.rev Power Hoard a report on last year s expenditure and estimates of future expenses, prepared by the engineer (Mr Lvthgoe) caused considerable discussion and was ultimately adopted by •') votes to 3. and Engineering Company) £20.828 10s; clearing site (Dim and Price) £65 10s; hardwood poles and crossarm timher (Kedpath and Son) £3981 11s -Id ; copper cable (Turnbull and Jones) £2963 3s; copper clad steel wire . M'eddorspoon) £76; triple braided aerial cable (Turnbull and .Tones £1498 -s; H. T insulators (A. D. Riley and Co £ll7B 15s; D. T. insulators (Turnbull and Jones) £323 2s ; power bouse building (J. A. Hart) £4989 18s. Tenders closing last night, and yet to bo accepted bring this total up to £10,004 11s 4d, while advertising, tools and equipment, and additional works for the completion of the power house will bring the total up to £55,889 11s 4d. The report nlso contained a proposal to set aside the sum of £IO,OOO for assisting consumers for a. term of three to five yeaTS.
