Orr-Walker K.AL.i. dealing with the case of Robert Alilm- Stewart (charged with using an unregistered motor car), said he was at a loss to understand why motorists should fail to register cars w hen itwas known that the Act provided a penalty of £2O for every day an unregistered tur was used. The d.-atli took place at Greymoutli last evening of Alexander O’Douoghue, a veteran pioneer miner.
