ALCOHOLIC patent medicines. NEW YORK, May 25. A telegram from Atlantic City stall's •that Doctor Cramp, Director <>t the American Medical Association Korean of Investigation, told delegates to the Association’s Convention that prohibition cannot he successful until certain •patent medicines are suppressed, which were designed to furnish the public with beverages of a highly alcoholic content. Dr. Cramp named sixty which he said produced intoxication with the ill effects from any drug. Me admitted ' ~ campaign against these might Jesuit. in increased consumption, but ho urged that they be put under Government control. Dr. Cramp said thoil obvious intent is to furnish beverages k- rather than medicine.
