Minister in charge of the Public Trust Office, issued The following statement yesterday : The new loans paid during the month ..I April amounted to tilt),2l(1 —private mortgagors ITfhl 10 and local hollies 231,100. New loans were grunted amounting to ,2302.170—private mortgagors 21.35,10(1 and local bodies 227.(1,770. Total loans granted hut not yet paid amount to 2900, 195, and amounts offered being less than the full loans applied for amount to 217.110—-a grand tot al of 2!'! 7.035. Further applications for loans now awaiting consideration amount to I'IvH.OSO. The total of the loans paid out during the financial year ended .March 31st, 11)2?., was 22,17,8,77)0 —private mortgagors 21 ,(D7.(>!)3 and local bodies 2771,07)7. New estates of a value of 2300,518 wore reported for administration during the month. I lie total value of the new estates reported for administration during the financial year ended March 31st, 1925, was 21.021.809, an increase of 28-10,-71 I over the value of the estates reported during Hie previous year.
Estates and funds now under administration have a total value of 235,570,1i12. showing a net increase over the values on .March 31st, 1921, of 2.3.105,918.
A further -121 wills of living testators were deposited for safe custody during the mouth, and the number of wills so held is now -ILLY).
