ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET. WEST COAST CATTLE AND LA A IBS SELL WELL. (By Telegraph.—Special to Guardian.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. A less i.s 11. Store Cattle. —A fair yarding and as usual mostly nondescript, lots and odd cows. One rather nice line of 2 year old heifers made £3 to C 3 10s. There were no other quotable lots offered. Pigs- A large entry of porkers there being several unfinished linos. Best quality sold readily, but the market was easier all round. A medium yarding Ilf hie oners and a large proportion of unliiii-lied good quality sold quite well. The market was easier than I ' rates. Values were: Light porkers-Ms to 50s, heavy 55s in 03s. extra to 07s fid. average price Gd to Bd, light bncimers 93 Ids to £l. heavy £1 5s 1o £! I.V. extra heavy to £5 ss. average price fi.pl to 7ld. choppers made £•2 15s to £fi 15s. Store pig-’-.- -V medium entry with a dull stile throughout, the demand being slack. Taking it, all round the quality wa.s very indifferent and nothing like recent sales. Several consignments from the AVost Coast were yarded and sold well on Hie market. Prices were somewhat hetttor and graziers were operating fairlv extensively in backward and unfinished steers. The average rise was Hioul 15s per head. Mutton- A fair yarding, mostly ewes and the quality was decidedly inferior all round. The market opened easier than lost sale, hut towards the end firmed up slightly, hut generally speaking. was Is to Is fid easier on ewes and not much change on wethers. Lambs A small yarding, hut for this time of the year the quality was cxceptionallv good. The sale generally was good and was. if anything better than last week and prices, in our opinion were well over schedule rates. Several Wot Const lines met with good sales the average price being V* F to 12tl overall.
