WEST COAST RUGBY UNION
At the Executive meeting held at Grcymouth last evening, the Duller Union wrote offering to play at Greymouth on .lime 20th.. provided a return match was played at Westport on July 11th., and the proposal was accepted. •J. Keeper (Uarrytnwn) applied for and was granted reinstatement to the Rugby code. The New Zealand Union notified its adoption of the dispensation granted it and the New SiDth Vales' Union, wliercuudor the kicker ami placer in eases of penalty kicks at. goal may lie the same person. It was decided to enforce this rule on the. Coast at once. Resolved to thank the Athletic Association for its offer to run the postponed schools’ relay race for the "Evening Star'’ Company’s Cup on dune 3rd., in conjunction with iho M'vcit-n-sidc tourney.
The following were reclassified : R. Nelson and W. Champion (Barrytown'; from senior to junior, ami IS. Dunsm'u (Stars) from junior to fourth grade.
Ilawkes Ray Union wrote confirming September 2(iHi. as tlie date for Hie Ilawkes Bay-West. Coast mauli at Greymouth. and ad vising that a party of twentv-i hive would comprise the team. Fixtures were arranged for Saturday next as follows:
Seniors: Excelsiors v. Stars at- ITokitika ; United v. Kiwi at, Greymouth (Mr Guerin, referee).
Senior fixtures for tlie second round were made as follows:
May 30—Stars v. Kiwis at Hokitika: United v. Excelsiors at Creynmtilh. June f>: Stars v. United at- Grey; Kiwi v. Excelsiors at Hokitika. Tlie. United r. Excelsior ma-teh of the first round will stand over till the end <d' the competition.
